How do I join?

Call First Mile on 0800 612 9894 and tell them that you are a Kingstonfirst BID member

Email ben.gaymer@thefirstmile.co.uk with details of your business address, e- mail address, telephone number and requirements.

Do I have to pay for the service?

The basic service is free of charge for small businesses and businesses that require intermittent or small collections.

Larger businesses (with a rateable value over £100k) are asked to make a contribution towards the cost of running the scheme.

First Mile will also collect materials that are not included in the Kingstonfirst scheme (e.g. shredded paper, batteries, textiles etc.) at a small cost.

I want to use First Mile to collect my trade waste and recycle some items that aren’t free- how much will it cost?

First Mile are offering special rates to all BID members for the additional items listed above. These rates will be discussed on application via their customer call centre on 0800 612 9894.

Where do I leave my recycling?

Please leave your recycling either in a Kingstonfirst bag or tied in a bale with Kingstonfirst tape, neatly stacked on the kerbside.

Please separate out your cardboard as this is recycled via the Bentall Centre.

When will my collection be?

Collections are Monday to Friday, and your collection time will be arranged with the First Mile driver.

PLEASE do not leave your recycling out kerbside outside of your allocated collection time.
