EMPLOYMENT LAW BRIEFING SESSION

Kingston First in conjunction with leading local solicitors, Russell-Cooke have organised an employment law briefing session for our members.The session has been developed to inform those working within Kingston town centre on specific topical themes, which are fundamental to running any business. The discussion topics will be made available nearer the time, as the areas covered will be dependant on what is relevant and current at that particular time.

TOPICS COVERED:
1. Handling Grievances: What to do if any employee makes a formal complaint, how to conduct an investigation correctly and dealing with contentious issues;
2. Disability in the Workplace: What counts as a disability, considering both physical and mental conditions; understanding the duty to make reasonable adjustments and minimising the risk of a disability claim;
3. Changes in Employment Law: A brief overview of recent and forthcoming law changes and developments that employers and managers should be aware of.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

We recommend that business owners, managers, team leaders, office managers and human resources staff attend this session. This session has been developed to provide a useful overview, and to upskill those who work within Kingston town centre, from all sectors including private and public sectors, retail and office, both day and night time economies.
