Kingston Futures is an ambitious investment programme for Kingston Town Centre. The town’s stakeholders have united in a joint approach to influence and promote Kingston as a destination for people to visit, both by day and by night.
Construction of an iconic £50 million campus building at the busy town centre gateway is scheduled to commence late 2016.
The regeneration of Eden Walk is a major landmark project which will propel Kingston’s standing as a major retail destination into the shopping stratosphere.
Radical plans are underway to redevelop the Old Post Office and the Telephone Exchange buildings in Eden Street. The proposed scheme is expected to make a major contribution to the regeneration of the town centre.
Crossrail 2 is a proposed new railway serving London and the wider South East, including Kingston and Surbiton Stations. Up to 8 Crossrail trains (2 per hour, in each direction) could serve Norbiton, Kingston and Hampton Wick stations, with 4 trains per hour continuing to Shepperton, stopping at all stations.
Kingston Town Centre’s luxury aspirations were marked out with the arrival of a new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel.
