Market House Bookings
This Victorian building, dating from 1840, was once home to the Town Hall. It is now a Grade II* listed building that displays a gilded statue of Queen Anne which was made by sculptor Francis Bird in 1706.
Kingstonfirst’s aim is to use the Market House as a community hub and information point, with space for meetings, exhibitions and events. There are three spaces available for hire; the Antechamber, Main Hall and Ground Floor Exhibition Space.
The Tourist Information Centre is also located on the Ground Floor of the Market House and they will display promotional literature for local businesses, at their discretion.
Please note, the Antechamber and Main Hall are located on the 1st floor of the Market House. Access is via a staircase, with a stair lift available for those with mobility impairments. This lift is not suitable for transporting equipment.

The Antechamber
Located on the upper floor of the Market House, the Antechamber is ideal for small meetings, workshops or smaller market research activities. It can also be hired as a break out area in conjunction with the main hall. This room also benefits from the adjoining kitchen facilities. The basic kitchen facilities include a small fridge, hot water and sink. Please note there is no oven or cooking equipment, so this is not suitable for event catering.

Main Hall
The main hall is a large and airy room with good natural light suitable for a wide range of events. Painted in heritage colours and with a solid wood floor, this space is regularly hired for meetings, workshops, community events and rehearsals.
There is also access to the kitchen facilities. The basic kitchen facilities include a small fridge, hot water and sink. Please note there is no oven or cooking equipment, so this is not suitable for event catering.

Ground Floor Exhibition Space
The Ground Floor Exhibition Space is located alongside Kingston’s Tourist Information Centre and is particularly suitable for exhibitions or trade fairs.
