May Merrie is Kingston’s annual May Day celebration with entertainment for all the family throughout the town centre. May Merrie is a fun filled day, with street performers and children’s entertainers.

6th - 28th July 2013
The International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) showcases some of the best work from young artists – through dance, theatre and other art forms. The festival runs throughout July.
13-14th July 2013
Kingston’s Regatta has occurred in Kingston for over 150 years, and brings together schools and clubs to compete in 300 rowing races. The Kingston River Festival runs alongside the Regatta and highlights Kingston Maritime heritage. If you enjoy messing about on the river, don’t miss July’s Kingston Regatta and River Festival where hundreds of local and national schools and clubs compete in over 300 races. Many Olympians have graced the event as they began their rowing careers, so it provides an opportunity to look out for future rowing superstars.
21st July 2013
In July each year, Kingston is home to its own Dragon Boat Challenge ,which is organised by Kingston Rotary Club with teams from across the country competing in this unique event, with drums, shouting and colourful boats it is an impressive event to watch. This year the event is due to take place on Sunday 21st July 2013.

25th July – 29th August 2013
Thumbs up its Thursday offers a summer filled calendar of events for children over the school holidays. Every Thursday afternoon from July 25th to August 29th there are children’s activities planned throughout the town, including storytelling, face painting, craft activities and entertainers.

Tickle your tastebuds at Kingston’s annual Food Festival, in previous years there have been visiting markets, award winning produce and demonstrations from top chefs.

1st September 2013
Kingston Carnival is an annual grand carnival procession, with dancing, live music, stalls and delicious food.
New of 2014, this event will celebrate local and established artists. Attractions include, an art trail around Town Centre, exhibitions, workshops and an affordable art fair.
14th November 2013
Kingston Town Centre provides free family entertainment with choirs, Christmas street entertainers and Father Christmas switching on Kingston Town Centre’s Christmas Lights.
