The historic town of Kingston Upon Thames is putting on an action-packed day of family-fun and entertainment on Sunday 2nd August when the 25,000 amateur riders and the 150 of the world’s top cyclists will race through the town as part of Prudential’s RideLondon.
Kingston is the only place on the route where you can see the cyclists twice! Riders are expected between 6.50am and 11.00am, returning between 9.30am and 4.35pm. So pull up a deckchair and watch the action as the cyclists pass by or catch up with the pro event on the big screens in the Market Place and Clarence Street.
On the day enjoy a cycling-themed entertainment including: Kingston Bike Festival creating a buzzing carnival atmosphere, Smoothie Bikes at Eden Walk, plus cycle club stalls, mini fun fair rides, live music and a food and craft market.
“Prudential RideLondon is a thrilling event for Kingston to host and the town will be buzzing with excitement thanks to a whole host of activities and entertainment to coincide with race day,” said Ros Morgan, Chief Executive of Kingstonfirst.
“With plenty of great viewing points throughout the town everyone is sure to get a good view of their cycling heroes as well as their nearest and dearest when they speed through town.
