What's On
MUYBRIDGE REVOLUTIONS
Pioneering moving image photographer Eadweard Muybridge (1830-1904) left a valuable cultural legacy to his home town of Kingston. This outstanding exhibition which includes rare and beauti-ful objects, provides a fresh insight into Muybridge‘s career and was made possible thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, plus further funding from local supporters. The exhibition will focus on his most intriguing objects; his nineteenth century glass picture zoopraxiscope discs, many of which have not been on public display before. There will also be an exhibition at Kingston University‘s Stanley Picker Gallery, which will include contemporary artwork directly inspired by the collection. This working relationship will help to confirm the continued influence of Muybridge into the 21st century.

TWELFTH NIGHT AT THE ROSE THEATRE
Orsino's relentless pursuit of Olivia and Malvolio's extraordinary transformation typify the madness of love in Illyria, a land of make-believe and illusion, mistaken identity and a ridiculous pair of yellow stockings!
In this enormously funny, fast-paced production of Shakespear's much-loved comedy, dynamic narrative, witty invention and bursts of music result in a joyous celebration. This is undoubtedly one of the freshest and most acclaimed Shakespeare productions of recent years.
