HAY FEVER AT THE ROSE THEATRE
Noel Coward's comic masterpiece, Hay Fever (1924), is one of the funniest and most perfect plays in the English language.
When four guests arrive at a country house by the Thames, they expect a civilised weekend of polite conversation and illicit love affairs. But the famous actress Judith Bliss, her novelist husband and their two grown-up children are eccentric bohemians and, as confusion mounts, their unwitting guests are desperate to flee.
Noel Coward (1899-1973) was born in Teddington, and wrote some of the greatest plays of the twentieth century. Famous for its outrageous and eccentric characters, and the speed, precision and polish of the language, Hay Fever is Noel Coward at his finest.
Cast includes Celia Imrie as Judith Bliss and Alexandfra Gilbreath as Myre Arundel.
Olivier award-winning actress and comedienne Celia Imrie has starred in Acorn Antiques, Calendar Girls, Dinnerladies and Bridget Jones' Diary. Her perfect comic timing has mad her a national favourite on both the large and small screen.
