ROSE THEATRE PRODUCTION - HOT MIKADO

If you like your musicals fast moving, funny and full of memorable music then rush to buy your tickets to this hugely succesful production of Hot Mikado. Strictly Come Dancing judge, Craig Revel Horwood (director of current West End production of Sunset Boulevard) and Tony Award winning orchestrator Sarah Travis' electrifying show had toes-tapping, fingers clicking and enjoyed nightly standing ovations at the renowned Watermill Theatre.

Picture a little town in Japan where flirting is punishable by death. Unsurprisingly its citizens are finding the law, rather, well....tiresome. They appoint Ko Ko, a lowly tailor, as Lord High Executioner, himself condemned for flirting and so not likely to execute anyone. Throw in the beautiful Yum Yum, her ardent admirer Nanki-Poo, errant son the Mikado, the man-eater Katisha and you have one of Gilbert and Sullivan's most famous comic operas in all its wonderful absurdity.

'FIT FOR A PRINCESS' AT THE BENTALL CENTRE

Star-studded fashion exhibition, titled 'Fit for a Princess', is the latest event to be held at South West London's award winning shopping destination, The Bentall Centre. This event is part of the Centre's ongoing strategy to 'give back' to the local community whilst delivering hard hitting fashion to all those who step through the door.

In collaboration with nearby Esher based charity, Princess Alice Hospice, The Bentall Centre is staging the 'Fit for a Princess' exhibition launching on the 26th September 2009. Celebrities such as Geri Halliwell, Twiggy, Trinny Woodhall, Fearne Cotton and The Saturdays are jumping at the chance to showcase their most desirable party outfits in support of their favourite charity. Beverley Knight has donated an incredible Herve Leger dress, whilst Helena Bonham Carter has contributed her Alberta Ferretti sequin skirt and top ensemble that she wore to the Planet of the Apes premiere! Garments from these celebrities amongst other musicians, actresses and fashionistas will be displayed exclusively in The Bentall Centre for one month. The Centre boasts over 80 stores, all of which are fighting to take part in showcasing the celebrity outfits in their store windows, including Austin Reed, Esprit, Shoon, New Look and HMV. Visitors to the Centre may then bid for their favourite idol's outfit through an auction on eBAY, with all proceeds going to support Princess Alice Hospice.
