We are looking for an energetic and motivated Ranger to join the Town Centre Ranger Team. The Ranger Team provide hands on support to facilitate and manage a safer, cleaner and well managed Kingston town centre. They also work closely with local businesses and Police to help reduce business crime and anti-social behavior.

This role has responsibility for the day-to-day and smooth running of the town centre operationally, working with the Kingston First team, our partners and businesses. Responding to local business queries this post has responsibility for a range of streetscape priorities and co-ordination, as well as ensuring the town centre is clean, safe and provides a quality experience for visitors, employees and businesses. As a Ranger you will provide full support, assistance and supervision on all day to day operational aspects of the Kingston markets programme, street activities and town centre events, as well the booking of commercial space.

Reporting to the Operations Manager you’ll help us manage day to day activities across the town centre. Much of your time will be spent out on the streets and will involve some level of physical work. We’ll certainly value your enthusiasm and entrepreneurial ideas. Ideally you’ll have worked within a similar industry however this is not essential as we’ll place more emphasises on good customer service and a sharp eye for detail. Experience of working with and serving the public are essential. You will require a willingness to work weekends and some evenings when needed.

Between them, the Rangers work across 7 days a week including some evenings. We are open to applicants who wish to work either on a full time or part time basis.
