Here at Kingston First we offer a variety of services to our members that help businesses save time and money. These initiatives include free recycling and discounted trade waste, a dedicated cost-saving scheme, plus free workshops and seminars. 

We listen to our members to understand how we can support them by providing the most important information as efficiently as possible whilst monitoring developments and policy impacts on the town centre they operate within.

Furthermore, we create a monthly town centre insight report that provides detailed insight into the health of Kingston including footfall and sales statistics, along with new openings and recent crime statistics.

Free Daily Recycling & Discounted Trade Waste

The Kingston First Recycling Scheme is free for all BID members and provides outstanding value for money. We accept paper, plastic, card and cardboard, and waste is collected mixed, so there’s no need for tedious sorting – saving you time and space.

Alongside the free recycling, we also offer a subsidised trade waste scheme. The service is for non-recyclables which include food, polystyrene and any contaminated packaging or material helping businesses save up to 62%.

Keep it Kingston Discount Card

To reward Kingston employees and encourage them to spend time in Kingston, in May 2017 we launched the Keep It Kingston Card.

The discount card has been a phenomenal success, with over 10,400 cards distributed just over a year. The card enables Kingston employees to save money, while providing local businesses with a platform to promote their services.

All Kingston First members are invited to provide an offer through the scheme that is compelling enough to drive trade, while still maintaining profits. The only requirement is that the offer is exclusive to the Keep It Kingston Card and has some additionality over and above what you are already making available to your general consumers. The offers and discounts are then promoted directly to Card Holders via the website and monthly e-newsletters.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

To find out more, download our Quick Guide to the Keep it Kingston Card and complete a Keep It Kingston Offer Form detailing the offer you will provide and the relevant terms and conditions. Free Cost-Saving Scheme

Small changes can make a big difference, that’s why Kingston First has introduced a Business Cost Saving Scheme to save money and improve your bottom line. In 2017 we helped our members save over £26,000 across utility bills, telecoms and core costs.

Through our contracted service provider, Meercat Associates, we use the bulk buying power of UK BIDs and business community members to get the very best market prices, manage your contracts and sort out any issues you may have with essential services. The service is free, with all the savings being passed to you.

Complimentary Business Training and Workshops

To help upskill workers and educate businesses in Kingston, throughout the year, Kingston First coordinate a number of free business workshops and seminars to help equip BID members and their staff with useful information about upcoming changes that could affect their company, as well as providing useful training workshops for everyday essential skills.

Town Centre Insight

It's critical that our members have a clear understanding on the performance of Kingston, which is why we produce our Town Centre Insight Report each month that is emailed to BID members. Results are sourced from businesses across the town centre and the Borough providing detailed insight into the health of Kingston. The monthly report covers footfall, sales, car parking, crime and occupancy in the town.
